NOTIFICATION REGARDING THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION FOR THE PARTICIPANTS TO THE SCIENTIFIC EVENTS ORGANIZED BY THE \u201cNICOLAE TITULESCU\u201d UNIVERSITY OF BUCHAREST<\/p>\n
Dear Colleague,<\/p>\n
We are writing to you the present e-mail regarding the implementation from 25 May 2018 of the Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95\/46\/EC (General Data Protection Regulation \u2013 hereinafter \u201eGDPR\u201d).
\nHaving in view the fact that over the past years you have participated to scientific events organized by the \u201cNicolae Titulescu\u201d University of Bucharest, we consider that you have to bear in mind the following:
\n– The University holds some of your personal data as a result of the transfer of copyrights to the studies you have registered at such events: name, surname, academic degree, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number, correspondence address.
\n– The University may have photos or filming in which you can also appear during the scientific events organized and promoted on the University\u2019s websites (www.univnt.ro, cks.univnt.ro, constant.univnt.ro) or\/and on the social networks (Facebook), in view of promoting the academic life.
\n– The purposes of the personal data processing are: the conduct of the scientific events organized by the University, the performance of the financial relations with regard to the participation (if applicable), the publication of accepted studies in the conference volumes (CKS eBook, CONSTANT eBook) and their indexing in international databases.
\n– The legal ground for processing is: art. 9 para. (2) letter j) of the GDPR \u2013 \u201cprocessing is necessary for (…) scientific (…) research purposes (… ) based on Union or Member State law\u201d.
\n– The personal data processing time limit: the studies have been published and indexed in international databases, being available online (name, surname, academic degree, institutional affiliation, e-mail address). The other personal data necessary for the contact with the author (telephone number, correspondence address) are stored in our electronic archive.
\nIf you are interested to find out more about the GDPR and your rights, you can do so by visiting the website of the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing – www.dataprotection.ro.
\nWe also inform you that the University does not promote SPAM and any user who has explicitly provided its email address on one of the University\u2019s websites (www.univnt.ro, cks.univnt.ro, constant.univnt.ro) may choose to delete it from the site database, the newsletter issuing platform and, implicitly, our institution.
